Brief Bio

After a lifetime of raising children, pursuing a career as a professional photographer, and pioneering the craft of art rubber stamping with her shop Stamp Augustine, Audrey Frank went back to her roots as a writer. Her early years of writing included many published children’s stories in religious magazines and adult fiction in true confession magazines.

A romantic at heart, her stories for young adults, and grown-ups who like old-fashion romance, have recently been published in Nostalgia Magazine, The Oxford So & So Magazine, and on many online sites, including A Quick Read (a short stories app for the Android phone), Stepping Stones Magazine (a web-based journal showcasing artists and writers) and Dew On The Kudzu.

In 2012, her essay Haunted tied for grand prize in the Share Your St. Augustine Story contest and she won honorable mention in the St. Augustine Record short story holiday contest.

At eighty-seven, Audrey Frank wrote from her historic home in St. Augustine, Florida. Her books are available on Amazon and Kindle.

Audrey Frank, 88, St. Augustine, Florida, passed away quietly in Inverness, Florida, on Aug. 25, 2016, close to her family, after a brief stay in hospice. She moved to St. Augustine in her early sixties as a recent widow, and her shop, Stamp Augustine on Aviles Street, was one of the first art rubber stamp shops in the area. She was an inspiration to her family and friends that you could accomplish anything at any age. From photographer and children’s writer in her younger years, to shop owner in her sixties, at age 84 she got back to her roots as a writer. Her short stories can be found on many online writing sites and in several anthologies.

She wrote seven romantic family novellas, a memoir, and a book of short stories published on Amazon. She was a member of The Florida Writers Association.

We have settled down in the Lake City, Florida area for now as I am writing another book and have began taking on website design and social media content creator clients.
